Course Modules
Day 1: Introduction to ISO/IEC 27034 and Application Security Program Planning
Fundamental concepts of application security; the ISO/IEC 27034 standard series; establishing the Organization Normative Framework (ONF); defining security governance; and planning an application security program.
Day 2: Application Security Controls Design and Architecture
Designing Application Security Controls (ASCs); threat modeling methodologies; security architecture patterns; Application Normative Framework (ANF) development; and security requirements specification.
Day 3: SDLC Integration and DevSecOps
Integrating security into waterfall, agile, and DevOps methodologies; secure coding practices; security testing strategies (SAST, DAST, IAST); CI/CD pipeline security; and DevSecOps implementation.
Day 4: Verification, Validation, and Vulnerability Management
Deploying ASCs across applications; security testing execution; code review processes; vulnerability management programs; penetration testing coordination; and remediation tracking.
Day 5: Program Management, Improvement, and Certification Exam
Application security metrics and KPIs; maturity model assessment; reporting to stakeholders; continual improvement of the application security program; and the Lead Implementer certification exam.
