Course Description
The ISA/IEC 62443 Lead Implementer training course enables you to acquire the expertise to lead the implementation of cybersecurity programs for Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS) based on ISA/IEC 62443. You will master the design, implementation, and management of OT security programs including security level determination, zone and conduit partitioning, and the application of countermeasures appropriate for industrial environments. The course addresses the unique challenges of securing SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and other industrial systems.

Day 1: Introduction to ISA/IEC 62443 and IACS Security Program
ISA/IEC 62443 series overview; IACS security program structure and governance; industrial threat landscape; and IT/OT convergence security challenges.
Day 2: Risk Assessment and Security Level Determination
IACS-specific threat modeling; vulnerability assessment for industrial systems; security level (SL) target determination; and risk evaluation methodologies for OT.
Day 3: Security Control Implementation for IACS
Zone and conduit partitioning; implementing technical security countermeasures; network segmentation for OT; access control for industrial systems; and secure remote access.
Day 4: Monitoring, Incident Response, and Compliance
OT monitoring and anomaly detection; incident response for industrial environments; patch management challenges in OT; regulatory compliance; and program lifecycle management.
Day 5: Certification Exam
Review of key concepts and the PECB Certified ISA/IEC 62443 Lead Implementer certification examination.
