Course Description

The GDPR Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) training course enables you to develop the competence to serve as a Data Protection Officer under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You will master the GDPR's requirements and principles, DPO designation and operations, data protection impact assessments, compliance program management, and incident handling procedures. The course covers the complete DPO lifecycle from designation and relationship with top management through operational activities including DPIA, documentation management, data protection controls evaluation, and continual improvement of GDPR compliance. Practical exercises based on real-world scenarios help you develop hands-on competence. The exam covers 3 competency domains: data protection concepts and GDPR compliance measures, roles and responsibilities for GDPR compliance, and technical and organizational protective measures. Certification levels: Provisional DPO (no experience), Data Protection Officer (2 years, 200 hours), Senior DPO (5 years, 300 hours).
