Course Description
The ISO/IEC 27002 Lead Manager training course enables you to acquire the expertise to lead and manage the implementation and ongoing management of information security controls based on ISO/IEC 27002. This course covers comprehensive control selection using risk-based approaches, implementation strategies across organizational, people, physical, and technological domains, effectiveness measurement, and integration with the ISMS framework. You will develop the skills to advise organizations on information security best practices and lead security control improvement programs.

Day 1: Introduction to ISO/IEC 27002 and Control Framework
ISO/IEC 27002 structure and objectives; control attributes and categorization; relationship with ISO/IEC 27001; risk-based control selection methodology; and organizational context.
Day 2: Organizational and People Controls
Implementing organizational policies, roles, and responsibilities; information security in project management; asset management; access control policies; supplier relationships; and people security controls including screening, awareness, and disciplinary processes.
Day 3: Physical and Technological Controls
Physical security perimeters and entry controls; equipment security; secure areas; technological controls including user access, authentication, malware protection, vulnerability management, and network security.
Day 4: Control Management, Monitoring, and Continual Improvement
Control effectiveness measurement; monitoring and review; integration with ISMS performance evaluation; managing control improvements; and preparing for certification.
Day 5: Certification Exam
Review of key concepts and the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27002 Lead Manager certification examination.
