Course Description
The ISO/IEC 27001 Transition training course enables certified professionals to update their knowledge and skills to the latest version of ISO/IEC 27001:2022. This course covers the key changes between ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022, including the restructured Annex A controls aligned with ISO/IEC 27002:2022 (93 controls in 4 categories replacing the previous 114 controls in 14 categories), new requirements for determining processes needed for the ISMS, and updated requirements for planning changes. The course provides practical guidance for transitioning existing ISMS implementations and certifications.

Course Modules
Day 1: Changes in ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27002:2022
Overview of changes in the main body of ISO/IEC 27001:2022; restructured Annex A controls; ISO/IEC 27002:2022 control categories (organizational, people, physical, technological); new controls including threat intelligence, cloud security, ICT readiness, and data masking.
Day 2: Transition Planning, Gap Analysis, and Certification Exam
Gap analysis between current ISMS and new requirements; transition roadmap development; updating the Statement of Applicability; documentation revision; verification activities; and the transition certification exam.
